- The Bible
The Holy Bible
is a divinely inspired record of God's revelation of Himself to humanity. The Bible reveals the principles by which God judges
us and explains the one way we can have true and eternal peace with one another and with God. The Bible is the ultimate
standard by which all human conduct and religious opinions should be judged.
- God
There is only one living and
true God. He is an intelligent, spiritual, and personal Being, the Creator, Redeemer, and Ruler of the universe. God reveals
Himself to us as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We owe God the highest love, reverence, and obedience.
- Humanity
Human beings were created by
a special act of God, in His own image. As soon as people are capable of moral action they choose to sin and come under the
judgment of God. Only by God's grace can we be brought into fellowship with God. We know that every person possesses
dignity and is worthy of respect and Christian love because God created human beings in His own image and because Christ died
for all people, everywhere.
- Salvation
Salvation is offered as a free
gift to all who accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Through His death on the cross and His resurrection Jesus made eternal
life possible. The only way to experience eternal salvation is through Jesus. When a person, acting in faith, turns from their
sin to Christ, and to Christ alone, they experience eternal life. Click here to view a short movie about the significance
of Jesus and the importance of trusting Him for eternal life.
- The Church
A church is a local group
of baptized believers. The church is to operate under the leadership and instruction. The church's scriptural officers are
pastors and deacons. The New Testament speaks also of the church as the group of all believers of all the ages who have trusted
in Christ.
- Baptism and the Lord's Supper
Christian
baptism is the immersion of a believer in water in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. It is an act of obedience
symbolizing a believer's faith in a crucified, buried, and risen Savior. The Lord's Supper is a symbolic act of obedience
which helps members of the church remember the death of the Jesus and look forward to His second coming.
