We have excellent Sunday School classes for preschoolers and children. Our preschool teachers
often plan special days for preschoolers and their parents. Preschoolers learn God loves them and that church is a place to
feel loved and accepted.
In Sunday School children learn Bible stories and how God can make a difference in their daily
lives at home and at school. In our Children's Department we have classes for children in transitional first grade through
fifth grade.
Teenagers meet for Sunday School in our "Activity Center." We have excellent teachers in Youth
Sunday School. Currently there are five classes for youth, including one class especially designed for high school seniors.
Our youth study individual books of the Bible, famous Bible characters, and learn what the Bible has to say about a
variety of topics of interest to teenagers.
At Immanuel we believe no one is too young or too old to learn
from God's Word. Adults of all ages study the Bible in classes for men, women and couples.
We have a large number
of college students and young adults. Parents with preschoolers, grade school children and adults with teenagers will find
Bible study classes to meet their needs. A large number of median aged adults attend Sunday School at Immanuel;
often over 50 senior adults are present!
The Sunday School teachers at Immanuel are among the most dedicated you will
find anywhere. Our teachers spend hours preparing to teach the Bible and reach people for Christ. On Wednesday
evenings many of them take part in our weekly Workers' Meeting to better prepare for Sunday morning. Additionally several
of our teachers participate in outreach on Tuesday evenings where we make contact with people who have visited our church
and with others around Norman. Outreach is an important part of our Sunday School's plan to share the gospel with our
community.
There is a place for everyone in Sunday School at Immanuel. Come and join us this Sunday morning
at 9:45 AM!
